Digital Technology-Assisted Implants
One aspect of high-tech dentistry that we have incorporated into our practice recently is the use of CT scan digital technology. We use the scan with the NobelGuide software from Nobel Biocare to help with treatment planning for guided surgery for our edentulous and partially edentulous patients. What this means is that we can now digitally treatment plan implant cases for excellent surgical and restorative results in 3-D. This results in ideally placed implants which in turn results in simpler prosthetics and superior restorations. This technology is useful in placing implants for either single tooth implants or multiple implants for implant-supported bridges or dentures.
